- Layers palette > Context-menu > Encapsulate
- Canvas menu > Layers > Encapsulate
- Function:
- Subsets the currently selected layers within a new {{l|Paste Canvas]] layer called "Inline Canvas".
- Typical usage
- Effect layers within this layer are applied only to other layers inside it. Then, the resulting pixel data is composited with the remaining layers according to the {{l|Paste Canvas]] layer's {{l|Blend Method]]
