For real time communication about anything semi-related to Synfig, feel free to drop by #synfig on the irc.freenode.net IRC network.
If you don't have an IRC client, you can try clicking here, entering your nickname and then clicking the connect button.
The people involved with Synfig are all very nice, so if you have questions, comments, or just want to say hello, feel free to drop by!
If you are using Jabber, give #synfig@freenode.irc.deepdarc.com a try.
If you are are not able to stay permanently connected, you may be interested in viewing the IRC logs (colour, plain).
There are some forums for people who prefer forums.
There are also two email lists - one for users and one for developers for those who prefer email.
Occasionally we have meetings about Synfig, which are usually on IRC.
