I work as a mechanical engineer and CAD expert. Hobbies include puppetry and creationism. I have no animation experience, beyond working with some early 2D animation when I was getting my education in CAD design, some 25 years ago. The reason I decided to look into 2D animation, was that I am working on a project to simulate a laser drawing graphics. The laser itself proved both costly, and at the brightness necessary to draw animation, it becomes an eye safety issue. So simulating the laser using a video projector is my current goal.
