The {{l|Category:Toolbox}} is one of the main SynfigStudio {{l|Panel}} - you can have several {{l|Category:Canvas_Window}} open, but only one {{l|Category:Toolbox}}.
  
The toolbox is Synfig's main window - you can have several canvases open, but only one Toolbox. If you're familiar with software like [http://www.gimp.org The GIMP], you'll recognize this approach (as opposed to say, an [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multiple_document_interface MDI], or a permanently-docked canvas window).
